According to reports, adiponitrile is the core raw material for the production of nylon 66 and a key link in the polyamide and special polyurethane industry chain. At the end of July, the 200,000-ton/year adiponitrile plant of Sinochem successfully opened up the whole process, successfully started the operation and produced high-quality adiponitrile products, which indicates that the problem of adiponitrile neck stuck is expected to become history and fills the gap in domestic technology and industry. , which complements the shortcomings of the industrial chain, and is of great significance to promoting the long-term, safe and healthy development of my country's high-end polyamide industry. The nylon 66 industry chain is expected to follow the localization of raw materials to usher in rapid expansion, and the new supply will drive the overall price center of the industry chain to move down, driving the rapid growth of downstream demand. According to the industry, the technological breakthrough of domestic nylon 66 raw material adiponitrile will be similar to the localization process of caprolactam, the main raw material of Nylon 6 more than 10 years ago, and it is expected to usher in a rapid expansion of consumption after localization. In the past, caprolactam has been relying heavily on imports, which has become a major bottleneck restricting the development of nylon 6 in my country. With the localization of caprolactam production technology, the domestic production capacity and apparent consumption of caprolactam and nylon 6 have grown rapidly in the past ten years. Nylon 66 has better comprehensive performance than nylon 6, but adiponitrile has not been localized before, the cost is high, and the supply cannot be guaranteed. In the past five years, the demand has been hovering at 400,000-500,000 tons per year. The consumption is about 590,000 tons, which is less than 15% of nylon 6. With the arrival of localization, the consumption demand of adiponitrile in the future is expected to replicate the development path of caprolactam and increase rapidly.
